Golf tip of the week: Golf simulators can improve your game
PHOTO PROVIDED The information produced by a simulator is only as good as the student and the instructor.
The new golf simulators can teach a golfer more in ten minutes than an hour outside. Just one swing can show correct and incorrect swing mechanics. The key is to have a quality golf instructor interpret the high-tech information. Too much information is just as harmful as not enough.
A golf simulator gives you many factors: club speed, club face angle at impact, ball speed, accurate distance, spin rate, ball trajectory, and more. A simulator is a key tool in colleges and professional sports.
The new high-end simulators are accurate and reliable when used by a good instructor. But there is a transition period between playing winter golf on a simulator versus the outdoors on the course.
Don’t forget to enjoy this great game called golf.
