On a Tuesday afternoon that brought sun, wind and rainy conditions, the Central Mountain golf team traveled to Frosty Valley Golf Club to take on PHAC opponent Danville. There, the Wildcats would come out on top, defeating the Ironmen by a score of 167-194.

For Central Mountain, senior Reese Walizer led the way, posting an match-low individual score of 38 on a par 36. Michael Lodek was close behind, shooting a 41. And five Wildcats hit a 45 or below on the day in Walizer, Lodek, Blake Walker (44), Nolan Karstetter (44) and Tucker Brungardt (45). And sophomore Kai Fravel rounded out the team’s well-rounded outing with a 57.

For Danville, the team was led by scores of 44 and 45 from Brady Haas and Jaxson Draus respectively.

With the win, Central Mountain kept up what’s been a strong start to the season, now sporting a league win on its resume. It’ll look to keep that span going against two non-conference opponents on Thursday, when it takes on Hollidaysburg and St. Joseph’s Catholic.

Starting at $2.99/week.
