Ten Lycoming players earn NFCA honors in softball

The National Fastpitch Coaches Association recognized 10 Lycoming College softball players as All-America Scholar-Athletes for the 2024-25 academic year, according to the organization’s announcement.

Lycoming’s 10 Scholar-Athletes from the 2024 season is the second-most in the program’s history, sitting behind only the 2023 season’s 12 recipients.

Seniors Rachel Daub and Jacqueline Snyder (a Williamsport graduate) and juniors Claire Alexander (a South Williamsport graduate), Kristen George (a Montoursville graduate), Sophia Lerner and Mallory Rodarmel (a Loyalsock graduate) all took home the honor for a third time.

Two Warriors received the honor for the second time: senior Avery Eiswerth (a Williamsport graduate), and sophomore Lauren Miller.

Sophomore Kendall McAnelly (a Williamsport graduate) and freshman Serenity Snyder each earned the award for the first time.

Melissa Montoro, head softball coach, has guided 78 NFCA Scholar-Athletes in her 12 years with the program. NFCA Scholar-Athletes must maintain a 3.5 GPA or higher during the academic year to receive the honor.

Starting at $2.99/week.
