Golf tip of the week: An open stance for senior golfers
PHOTO PROVIDED Feet open, shoulders square.
Most golfers are taught to open up the stance for shorter shots. Open the feet, but keep the shoulders square to the target line.
The shoulders are the most important parts of the body. Golfers will improve their accuracy when their shoulders are square and their feet are open.
The hips and feet should be slightly open to allow freedom to swing. Power is not the primary concern here. This stance should be used for distances of 100 yards or less.
Don’t forget to enjoy this great game called golf.
