LHU QB Ostrowsky earns PSAC honor
Lock Haven football standout quarterback Jackson Ostrowsky was named the co-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Eastern Division Athlete of the Week.
The Bald Eagles secured their first winning season in 44 years behind a dominating 49-28 victory over visiting Gannon on Saturday and Ostrowsky led the way.
Ostrowsky threw for 459 yards (31 for 43) and five touchdowns, which matched his career-high in TD throws.
It was the second time this season Ostrowsky threw for a career-high five touchdowns.
The graduate senior finished the season near the top of the PSAC in every major passing category, including yards (second, 2655), touchdowns (second , 22), long pass (second, 80) and yards per game (second, 265.5).
Ostrowsky wrapped up his sensational two-year Bald Eagle career ranked first all-time in career completion percentage (59%) and yards-per-game (279.0), third in passing yards (5,858), touchdowns (49), completions (462), attempts (377) and fourth in yards per attempt (7.5).
The victory on Saturday, Lock Haven’s sixth of the season helped the Bald Eagle clinch their first winning season since 1981.
The Bald Eagles finished the season 6-5 overall after going 4-3 in PSAC Eastern Division action.
