Canton, Wellsboro and North Penn-Mansfield had a number of NTL Large School all-star selections in football, which were released this week.

North Penn-Mansfield’s Luke Kreger was a first-team utility player and was the only area athlete to garner first-team honors on offense. Wellsboro’s Kody Enck (linebacker), Wellsboro’s Marek Mascho (defensive back), Mansfield’s Luke Kreger (defensive back) and Canton’s Bailey Gardner (punter) earned first-team honors on the defensive side of the ball.

Wellsboro’s Marek Mascho (utility), Griffin Morral (quarterback and defensive back), Kody Enck (tight end/halfback), Jordan Hines (defensive tackle), Hayden Stevens (defensive end) and Max Mascho (punter) received second-team all-star honors. Canton’s Ryder Route (wide receiver), Alexis McRoberts (kicker), Bailey Gardner (running back) and Mansfield’s Skyler Everetts (offensive lineman and defensive tackle) received second-team accolades as well.

Canton’s Owen Moore (quarterback), Wellsboro’s Max Mascho (wide receiver), Mansfield’s Patrick Youmans (tight end/halfback) and Mansfield’s Brody Grinnell (kicker) were all honorable mention all-star selections.

Troy’s Brendan Gilliland was named NTL Large School Player of the Year, Troy’s Mason Smith was named Offensive Player of the Year, Athens’ Brennan Comstock was named Defensive Player of the Year, Troy’s Micah Pesesky was named NTL Lineman of the Year and Troy’s coaching staff received NTL honors.
