Williamsport had success at home on an early afternoon quad-meet on Monday against Halifax, Liberty and Allentown Central Catholic in both boys and girls competition.

On the boys side, Williamsport defeated Halifax, 114-20, and defeated Allentown Central Catholic, 94-57, but fell against Liberty, 102-72. Liberty beat Allentown Central Catholic (112-59) and Halifax (141-19) while Allentown Central Catholic beat Halifax, 93-24.

The Williamsport girls swept the competition with wins vs. Liberty (100-73), Halifax (110-42) and Allentown Central Catholic (107-47). Liberty beat Allentown Central Catholic, 98-52, and Halifax, 94-51, while Allentown Central Catholic earned a 69-49 win over Halifax.

Part of the girls’ success came thanks to Kiley Persun. The Millionaire swam a 27.22 to win the girls 50 free by roughly 0.70 seconds over Halifax’s Mena Clark. Persun also swam a 58.41, the only swimmer to break a minute, to win the 100 free, claiming a victory by nearly seven seconds.

Kyla Becker picked up a win by half a second in the 100 fly over Liberty’s Sophie Terry thanks to swimming a time of 1:13.54. Williamsport’s Miley Johnson swam a 5:54.76 to win the 500 free by nine seconds over Liberty’s Audrey Bloss-Ferry. Johnson took second in the 200 free in 2:12.19, behind Bloss-Ferry (2:12.11).

Persun and Johnson were part of Williamsport’s 200 free relay team with Annie Ross and Addison Hill to win in 1:52.18, winning by three seconds over Liberty’s foursome. Williamsport got out to a lead on the first leg and managed to hold the lead from there.

In the diving competition, Williamsport’s Lindsay Clover and Allie Eberhart took second and third, respectively, as Allentown Central Catholic’s Alyssa Stahlnecker won with a score of 211.60. Clover scored a 192.40 for second and Eberhart scored a 173.40 to take third.

Williamsport’s Addison Hill was a third-place finisher in 1:15.14 in the 100 back. Annie Ross of Williamsport was a second-place finisher in the 100 breast in 1:17.59.

In the girls 400 free relay, Williamsport’s team of Johnson, Kyla Beecker, Ross and Persun swam a time of 4:51.87 to take second as Halifax won in 4:40.45.

On the boys side, Brady Ross was a two-event winner as well, helping the Millionaires excel.

Ross won the 200 free for the Millionaires in 1:51.52, winning the race by nearly four seconds over Liberty’s Darren Nguyen. Ross won the 100 free with a time of 49.09, winning by just 0.06 seconds over Allentown Central Catholic’s Liam Fitzpatrick in a great race that came down to the wire.

Ross also was part of Williamsport’s 200 medley relay team which won in a time of 1:42.48 with Cooper Allmaras, Evan Summers and Brian Love-Ritchey.

Summers was a second-place finisher in the 200 IM in 2:01.81, and trailed only Liberty’s Adam Barlow who swam a 1:58.98. Allmaras was a second-place finisher in the 50 free with a time of 22.81 as Liam Fitzpatrick of Allentown Central Catholic won in 22.57. Summers also took second in the 100 breast with a time of 57.58, just half a second behind winner Adam Barlow of Liberty while Weaver took third in 1:09.40..

Allmaras swam a sub-minute in the 100 back for Williamsport to secure a win in 58.83 seconds, winning by just under two seconds over Liberty’s Jonah Korpics.

In the 500 free, Williamsport’s Cy Haight was a second-place finisher in 6:02.48. Williamsport’s Peter Michaluk, Biggie Kendall, Haight and Alex Martyniuk took third in the 400 free relay in 4:25.98.
