Jersey Shore’s girls swim team swept a tri-meet with Athens and Selinsgrove, beating the Seals, 84-63, and beating Athens, 79-63, while the Bulldog boys lost to Athens (106-12) and beat Selinsgrove (17-6).

Jersey Shore’s Brooke Charney was a two-time winner on Tuesday while Macy Wilton secured a win as well for the Bulldogs.

In the 50 free, Charney won with a time of 30.55 while teammate Lila Nestlerode was a second-place finisher in 31.07. Sierra Derr took fourth in 32.84. Charney won the 400 free in 5:40.65.

Wilton won the 100 fly with a time of 1:23.55, winning by nearly six seconds over Athens’ Kaitlyn Leonard (1:29.05). Wilton was also a second-place finisher in the 200 IM with a time of 2:58.34 as Selinsgrove’s Sawyer Kovaschetz won in 2:47.00.

Nestlerode finished second in the 200 free with a time of 2:38.58 behind only Selinsgrove’s Holly Grayson (2:27.62). Makayla Wrench took third in 2:48.07 for the Bulldogs and Addison Miller was fifth in 2:56.22.

Emily Shemory finished second in the 100 free with a time of 1:07.88 as she trailed only Selinsgrove’s Holly Grayston, who swam a 1:05.29. Shemory was also a second-place finisher in the 100 back with a time of 1:22.70, only five seconds behind Athens’ Olivia Thompson, who won in 1:17.99.

On the boys side, Jersey Shore went 2-3 in the 50 free as Athens’ Eli Hicks won in 26.25. Shore’s Nathan Grant took second in 31.19 while Nathan Klugh was a third-place finisher with a time of 32.01.

Grant was a fourth-place finisher in the 100 free with a time of 1:17.45 and Klugh took fifth in 1:21.95.
