Bucktail girls basketball defeats Sullivan behind 24-point outing from Wagner

Bucktail had just three players register points against Sullivan County, but freshman Kelsie Wagner nearly matched her opponents’ final score. The freshman scored 24 points, leading her team to a 35-28 win over Sullivan County.

Senior Kendall Wagner was the second leading scorer for the Bucks with 12 points, and the inside game ran through fellow senior Eva Sockman, who grabbed 13 rebounds and added 5 assists.

It was a match-up of two 5-6 teams going into the game, with the Bucks improving to 6-6 with the win. Bucktail will be back on the court on Friday when they host CMVT (2-7).
