Clinton County Speedway sanctions IMCA sprint cars for upcoming season

MILL HALL — The Clinton County Speedway becomes the first Central PA sprint car track to sign a sanctioning agreement with IMCA Racing for the RaceSaver sprint cars. Established in 1979, the IMCA sanctioning body continues its mission of affordable, entertaining and competitive auto racing throughout the United States. The Clinton County Speedway had previously held IMCA events for the RaceSaver sprint cars through an affiliate program, Laurel Highland Sprint Association.

“We are excited to join IMCA as a sanctioning speedway for the RaceSaver IMCA Sprint Cars,” says Jason McCahan, speedway promoter. “Our one-third mile facility is perfect for the RaceSaver Sprints, our drivers are competitive and put on a thrilling and exciting event every time they are on the track. The sanction will provide our champion bonus points towards the national IMCA championship series.”

Two of Clinton County’s drivers have won national championships, Ken Duke Jr. in 2019 and Garrett Bard in 2020. Most recently, Timmy Bittner won the PA State Championship in 2024 and 2025.

“Clinton County boasts one of the strongest car counts in IMCA when it comes to RaceSaver IMCA Sprint Cars on Friday nights and consistently puts on some very good racing,” said IMCA Vice President Jim Stannard.

The RaceSaver division at Clinton County will be presented by River Valley Builders, a modular home builder serving Central PA, New York, and New Jersey with a model home in Selinsgrove, PA. The RaceSaver sprint cars will compete in 10 events this season.

The 2026 season also features three appearances by the 410 sprint cars.

The Appalachian Super Late Model Speedweek will kickoff the week at the Clinton County Speedway on Friday, June 5. The limited late models will compete in six events this season.

Other weekly classes will include the pro stocks, 270 micro sprints, and four cylinders. Other divisions will include the USAC East Coast Sprint Cars, the East Coast Legends, and the Rising Stars Jr Sprint Series.

Starting at $2.99/week.
