Jersey Shore and Lewisburg competed in a quad meet with Mifflinburg and Danville in swimming on Tuesday afternoon. Team scores for the quad meet were not made available.

The Green Dragons and Bulldogs saw plenty of swimmers have success.

For the Green Dragons, Emma Hopkinson and Morgan Shannon led the team with two first-place finishes each. Hopkinson swam a time of 26.23 to win the girls 50 free by just more than 0.20 seconds against Danville’s Cleo Hummel. Jersey Shore’s Emily Shemory was a third-place finisher in 26.89. In the 100 fly, Hopkinson won in 1:04.29 as Izzy Marks of Danville took second in 1:07.65 and Jersey Shore’s Macy Wilton was a third-place finisher in 1:16.18.

Shannon won the 200 free with a time of 2:07.53, winning by four seconds over Danville’s Zoe Czech. Shannon also swam a 5:40.10 to win the 500 free by 20 seconds. In the 500 free, Jersey Shore’s Addison Miller was a fourth-place finisher with a time of 7:17.92.

Lewisburg’s Jillian Muchler swam a time of 1:09.50 to win the 100 back by two seconds over Jersey Shore’s Emily Shemory, who swam a 1:11.59. Muchler was a also second-place finisher in the 200 IM in 2:35.61 behind Tessa Ross of Danville (2:35.48). Jersey Shore’s Macy Wilton finished in fourth with a time of 2:42.58.

Jersey Shore’s Brooke Charney took second in the girls 100 free in 1:01.27 while teammate Lila Nestlerode was a third-place finisher in 1:03.68. Charney was a fourth-place finisher in the 100 back in 1:13.38.

The Bulldogs’ Rhian Prowell was a third-place finishier in the 100 breast with a time of 1:26.37.

In the 400 free relay, Lewisburg’s Hopkinson, Muchler, Meg Mitchell and Shannon swam a time of 4:08.81 to take second. Jersey Shore’s Charney, Macy Wilton, Nestlerode and Shemory swam a 4:18.11 to take third in the event.

Lewisburg’s 200 medley relay team of Muchler, Claire Graver, Hopkinson and Shannon won with a time of 1:59.46.

In boys competition, Lewisburg’s Colin Shannon was also a two-event winner. Shannon won the 200 free with a time of 1:56.62, winning by five seconds over Mifflinburg’s Chance Moyer. He also won the 500 free in 5:08.59.

Lewisburg’s Blake Gulden-Luthi took third in the 100 free by swimming a 59.99 and trailed only Mifflinburg’s Chance Moyer (53.71) and Caleb Wilson of Danville (58.87). Jersey Shore’s Jayden Passetti swam a 1:06.00 for fourth and Jersey Shore’s Nathan Grant was fifth in 1:08.69.

Gulden-Luthi also took second in the 100 breast in 1:13.65 as Jersey Shore’s Passetti was a third-place finisher in 1:14.67.
