Brecken Gusick scored a game-high 17 points and Saoj Jones was right behind with 16 as Loyalsock defeated Hughesville, 61-48. The Lancers (12-6) pulled away from Hughesville in the second half and Jalil Coates added 14 points.

Alex Schultz had a double-double of 13 points and 13 rebounds for Hughesville. Gavin Knarr had 12 points with seven boards and Evan Mackenzie 11 points, five rebounds and three blocks.

Ethan Balzer produced a double-double and James Keifer scored 19 points, helping Warrior Run clinch a share of its second straight HAC-III championship with a 62-47 win against Mifflinburg. The Defenders (17-1, 8-0) can win the title outright if they win Friday at Hughesville. Balzer grabbed 13 rebounds to go with his 17 points as Warrior Run snapped Mifflinburg’s five-game winning streak and won its 10th straight. Aiden McKee had 17 points and eight rebounds and Landon Polcyn nine points with four assists.

Jake Lorson scored a team-high 20 points, but i twasn’t enough as Jersey Shore lost to Shamokin, 73-58. Tucker Hanna had nine points and seven rebounds and Landon Lathan grabbed six boards.

• North Penn-Liberty lost to Troy on the road, 50-33. Haley Litzelman posted another double-double thanks to scoring 22 points with 14 rebounds, three blocks, two steals and two assists. Scarlett Graham had six points, two rebounds and two assists and Kendall Graham had three points, four rebounds and tow blocks.

Troy was led by Giana Renzi’s 12 points, Kiah Renzo’s 12 and Rachel Woodard’s 11.

North Penn-Mansfield defeated Williamson, 58-26, thanks to a 19-point performance by Maddy McNamara, who had four rebounds, five steals and three assists. Kameron Lightner came just shy of a double-double with eight points, 18 rebounds, six assists and two steals. Addie Lehman scored 10 points with five boards and Julia Kaczynski had 13 points.

• In girls wrestling competition, Montgomery defeated Muncy, 45-12. Brooke Knoebel had a pin in 1:12 against Willow Miller at 106 pounds and at 112, Jenna Houseknecht pinned Haylee Younin in 2:23. Montgomery’s Briella Walk earned an 8-2 decision against Eva Nagel and a biout later at 136, Montgomery’s Zoe Furman pinned Lillian Kramer in 55 seconds.

Georgina Leet of Montgomery pinned Paige Dunham-Lester in 37 seconds at 170 and Malayna Beattie pinned Piper Diehl at 190 in 51 seconds. At 235, Montgomery’s adelyn Rine pinned Sadie O’Dell in 68 seconds.

Muncy picked up wins via forfeit at 118 and 124 by Zoe Kunkle and Adelynn Holmes, respectively.
