Lycoming beats Wilkes, York on second day of Whitehill Duals
Junior 133-pounder Bobby Gardner, a South Williamsport graduate, finished off a perfect run at the 2026 Whitehill National Duals to earn a spot on the All-Tournament Team and senior heavyweight Michael Sipps, a Cowanesque Valley graduate, also had a perfect run at the tournament, as the Lycoming College wrestling team posted wins over Wilkes University, 31-20, and York College of Pennsylvania, 35-13, on the second day of the event at Lamade Gym on Saturday.
The Warriors (5-4 overall) won 13 of the 20 matches during the second day of the tournament. Wis.-Eau Claire, ranked 11th in the country, beat Springfield College, 29-21, in the final for its fourth consecutive title.
Five straight wins from 149 to 184 pounds helped Lycoming post 25 straight points in the 35-13 win over York (6-4 overall).
