Milton, Wellsboro swimmers see success in tri-meet
Milton competed in a swim meet with Wellsboro and Shamokin, which also featured independent swimmers from Muncy and Hughesville.
Team scores were not made available. Individual swimmers’ finishes don’t count as top-3 finishers in duals, tri-meets or tournaments, but rather for seeding and qualifying for districts.
The area saw a handful of two-event winners in Milton’s Nolan Scheller, Wellsboro’s Austin DeShazo and Wellsboro’s Makenna Robbins.
Scheller won the 200 free with a time of 1:53.81, the only swimmer to break the two-minute mark. Wellsboro’s Elijah Shrawder was third in 2:57.33.
In the boys 50 free, Scheller won in 22.75 while Wellsboro’s Max Mascho took second in 25.08.
