MIlton’s Scheller wins two events in tri-meet vs. Danville, Selinsgrove
Milton’s Nolah Scheller picked up two wins as the Black Panthers competed in a tri-meet at Danville against the Ironmen and Selinsgrove.
The Milton boys defeated Selinsgrove, 73-24, and lost to Danville, 126-38, while the Milton girls beat Selisngrove, 100-66, and fell to Danville, 113-66.
Hewon the 50 free thanks to swimming a 22.31, shaving 0.14 seconds off his time and winning by nearly two over Briar Treibly of Danville. Scheller then later won the 100 breast wtih a time of 1:03.94, winning by 11 seconds over Danville’s Benjamin Hayes.
The Black Panthers’ Mason Cohoon took third with a time fo 1:06.78 in the 100 fly as Danville’s Jimmy Zhang won by going below a minute with a time of 54.48.
Andrew Leinbach of Milton took third in the 100 free in 1:01.59.
Larissa Rovenolt swam a time of 27.22 to win the 50 free, beating out Danville’s Olivia Hummel, who swam a 27.43.
Milton’s Rachel Goocey won the 100 free in 59.22, the only swimmer to break a minute, as she won the event by nearly a second over Shikellamy’s Paige Roseman. Goocey also took second in the 200 IM with a time of 2:26.17, behind only Selinsgrove’s Holly Grayston’s 2:25.35.
Morgan Cohoon swam a time of 2:20.16 to take third in the girls 200 free, behind Cleo Hummel of Danville (2:08.20) and Danville’s Zoe Czech (2:11.38). Cohoon was also a fourth-place finisher in the 100 fly with a time of 1:11.90.
Milton’s Julia Stahlnecker was third in the 500 free in 6:44.99, trailing only Danville’s Zoe Czech (5:55.56) and Selinsgrove’s Issy Clark (6:36.10).
