Numerous local wrestlers competing at PHAC Championships
DAVE KENNEDY/Sun-Gazette Montoursville’s Hayden Harvey is the top seed at this year’s PHAC Championships at 189 pounds and is one of a number of local wrestlers hoping to make deep runs today at Bloomsburg University.
The 2026 PHAC Championships are set for today at BLoomsburg University and a number of area wrestlers are competing throughout the 13 weights, hoping to take home a PHAC title.
The tournament begins at 9 a.m. and the medal rounds will begin at approximately 5 p.m.
The tournament will have bouts for first, third, fifth and seventh.
A closer look at the entire field through all 13 weight classes.
Montoursville’s Branden Eisenhour, a returning Northeast Regional silver medalist who’s 19-3, is seeded No. 1 at 107 pounds and will wrestle either Travis Merrill of Jersey Shore or Mount Carmel’s Isac Colon Roman. Hughesville’s Kellan Smith wrestles against Shamokin’s Ahston Hughes and the winner will face Selisngrove’s Colton Kratzer.
On the bottom part of the bracket, Warrior Run’s Kael Majcher competes against Lewisburg’s Colton Lyons and Central Mountain’s Hunter Nace faces Shikellamy’s Austin Wolfe. Mifflinburg’s Collin Roman is seeded second and Central Columbia’s Kyle Curland is seeded third.
At 114, Central Mountain’s Angelo Tarantella will wrestle Mifflinburg’s Landon Shemory with the winner advancing to take on top-seeded Southern Columbia’s Rowen Humphrey. Montoursville’s Coltyn Wagner wrestles against Warrior Run’s Tyler Walburn and the winner faces Shamokin’s Xavier Carr.
Williamsport’s Jordan Piselli (9-4), a returning district champion has a first-round bye and faces the winner of Loyalsock’s Miles Ransom-Rennicks/Hughesville’s Joey Laubacher.
Jersey Shore’s Gabriel Fisher (15-5) is seeded No. 2 at 121 and has a first-round bye and competes against either Loyalsock’s Owen Peck or Bloomsburg’s Jake Keller. Hughesville’s Hunter Stevens (11-8) faces Shikellamy’s Bobby Felmy (11-10) and whoever wins faces top-seeded Anthony Snook of Selinsgrove.
Warrior Run’s Emmett Ranck competes against Southern Columbia’s Liam Gray, seeded third. The winner will wrestle either Lewisburg’s Fynn Oberdorf or Central Mountain’s Collin Bauman in the quarterfinals.
Competing at 127, Central Mountain’s Gavin Heverly, a returning district second-place finisher with a 16-6 record, is seeded second and wrestles either Hughesville’s Cameron Styron or Shamokin’s Braxton Kemper. Williamsport’s Collin Nasdeo, seeded third, wrestles against Central Columbia’s Cole Horrax on the bottom side of the bracket.
On the top side, Lewisburg’s Bentley Chappell, a freshman, competes against Montoursville junior Brody Bower with the winner facing top-seeded Jack Gramly of Mifflinburg (19-6). Jersey Shore’s Draylen Phillips wrestles Shikellamy’s Jake Hendricks.
Montoursville’s Teli Bobotas, a regional silver medalist who is 16-4 this year, is seeded second and wrestles Shamokin’s Blayze Shaffer. Loyalsock’s Carter Brown and Hughesville’s Ethan Wodrig compete in the bottom half of the bracket and face either Central Mountain’s Patrick Tarantella or Danville’s Donovan Sharpe. Lewisburg’s Landon MIchaels will wrestle Central Columbia’s Ryder Bates.
Warrior RUn’s Chase Wirnsberger, seeded fifth, faces Selinsgrove’s Dagen Piermattei and Williamsport’s Steven Bottoms will restle Mount Carmel’s Gavin Kotzo. Jersey Shore’s Dylan Hensler competes against Bloomsburg’s Shiloh Welsh with the winner facing 20-2 Bradley Wagner of Mifflinburg, the tournament’s No. 1 seed.
Loyalsock’s Connor Phillips wrestles Garrett Panco of Central at 139 with the winner facing top-seeded Benjamin Straub of Mifflinburg. Lewisburg’s Nolan Altoft wrestles against Warrior Run’s Samuel mcCloskey and Central Mountain’s Hayes Donley wrestles against Shamokin’s Logan Pensyl.
Jersey Shore’s Coltan Gordner wrestles against Shikellamy’s Ryder Borich, the third seed (17-7) and will face either Danville’s Zaynne Zutell or Williamsport’s Lauger Waldman, who wrestle in the first round. Montoursville’s Kaden Kleinman wrestles Southern’s Gavin Trometter.
At 145, Central Mountain’s Aiden Kunes, seeded No. 1 with an 18-1 record, has a first-round bye and faces either Montoursville’s Hunter Gee and Shikellamy’s Gavin Keefer. Williamsport’s Alexander Wright wrestles against Southern Columbia’s Gavin Richard in the first round and faces the winner of Danville’s Elijah Sherman and Hughesville’s Westley Harvey.
Lewisburg’s Ben Barbella competes against Mifflinburg’s Gradyn Shuck in the first round and Jersey Shore’s Benjamin Lovell wrestles against second-seeded Ivan Baker of Loyalsock (14-3).
At 152, Lewisburg’s Landen Wagner, a returning eighth-place state finisher, is seeded No. 1 with a 20-2 record. He faces either Lukas Carpenter of Mount Carmel or Central Mountain’s Luke Garman (11-7). Hughesville’s Landen Puderbach and Warrior Run’s Blake Dion wrestle in the first round, as do Williamsport’s Jahki Burget against Jersey Shore’s Louden Spotts (16-4). Montoursville’s Blake Fry, a freshman with a 17-4 record, wrestles against Central Columbia’s Ethan Miller.
Warrior Run’s Reagan Milheim, who’s 17-0 and a returning state second-place finisher, is seeded No. 1 at 160 and wrestles against Shikellamy freshman Tristan Smith. Lewisburg’s Ethan Long (14-10) faces Montoursville’s Ryan Meredith in a first-round matchup. Williamsport’s Austin Dunlap wrestles MIfflinburg’s Wesley Smith. Jersey Shore’s Tobias MOrgret (16-5) wrestles against Loyalsock’s Cage Best.
Central Mountain’s Dalton McDermott wrestles against Mount Carmel’s Alexander LaMas. McDermott is a returning district fourth-place finisher and is 10-7. Hughesville’s Kile Hartman is seeded No. 2 at 19-5 and faces Shamokin’s Ezra Reigle.
Warrior Run’s Max Wirnsberger is undefeated (16-0) and is a returning state medalist and took fifth. The senior Defender is seeded No. 1 and has a first-round bye and wrestles against either Shamokin’s Trev Taylor and Central Columbia’s Gavin Larsen. Jersey Shore’s Jonathan Dincher (12-8) has a first-round matchup vs. Shikellamy’s Dominic Mojica.
Loyalsock’s Curtis Lewis, a freshman, is set to wrestle Southern senior Caius Morrow, the third seed at 172. Lewisburg’s Kade Lavulo is wrestling Hughesville’s Colton Gavitt and Central Mountain’s Mario Serafini is set to wrestle Mount Carmel’s Evan Jones.
Montoursville standout Gage Wentzel, a returning state silver medalist who’s 16-2, is seeded second and faces either Jones or Serafini in the quarterfinals.
Montoursville’s Hayden Harvey is a returning regional third-place finisher who is 15-2 and earned the top seed at PHACs at 189. He will wrestle either Mount Carmel’s Chance Swatski or Jaxon Felmey of Mifflinburg. Jersey Shore’s Riley Kanski, a senior, faces fourth-seeded Jackson Raker of Williamsport, a district silver medalist who’s 11-6. Loyalsock’s Isaac Probst faces Central Mountain’s Hunter Donley in the first round, Lewisburg’s Lennon Barner wrestles Southern Columbia’s Greg Fulmer in the first round and second-seeded Tyler Ulrich of Warrior Run wrestles against Shamokin’s Bentley Kerstetter.
Central Mountain’s Todd Caris is 19-6 and seeded No. 2 at 215 and wrestles against Williamsport’s Makai Williams. Warrior Run’s Blake Parker is set to wrestle Montoursville’s Mason Murray. Central Mountain’s Todd Caris is seeded No. 2 with a 19-6 record and faces Williamsport sophomore Makai Williams.
Also in the field at 215, Hughesville’s Colton Woolever wrestles Central Columbia’s Noah Musselman and Lewisburg’s Hunter Hollenbach wrestles John Quinton of Southern Columbia. Loyalsock freshman Tristan Van Fleet faces Jersey Shore’s Aiden Patts.
Jersey Shore’s Garret Barner wrestles a first-round matchup against Central Columbia’s Clayton Whitenight and Warrior Run’s Noah Johnson, a senior, is seeded fourth and is 14-4 and faces Danville’s Tommy Trelease. Central Mountain’s Hayes Henry (16-6) is a returning district silver medalist and competes against Montoursville’s Gabe Vanderwall in the first round wtih the winner advancing to face Selinsgrove’s Jack Peters (16-2).
