Hughesville defeated Wyoming Valley West, 48-19, thanks to the Spartans’ strong defensive efforts limiting Wyoming Valley West to single digits all four quarters, and never more than five in a quarter.

Maddie Smith scored 17 points for Hughesville while Anna Easton added nine and Kendall Hamm scored seven.

Milton moved to 11-8 with a 50-36 win in Mill Hall against Central Mountain. Carrie King had a 25-point, 10-rebound, five-assist, five-steal double-double for the Black Panthers while Liz Schrock came just shy of a double-double with nine points, eight rebounds and four assists.

Hayden Snyder had a team-high 10 steals. The Wildcats were led by Camdyn Weaver’s 10 points.

North Penn-Mansfield suffered a 53-49 setback against Wyalusing. Maddy McNamara had a team-high 17 points for the Panthers and had six steals, five assists and three rebounds. Elaina Shaw scored eight points and Kameron Lightner had a team-high 15 rebounds with six points, four steals and four assists. Addie Lehman and Julia Kaczynski each scored nine.

Wyalusing was led by a trio of double-digit scorers in Alysha Botts (160), Emily Johns (10) and Treanna Nickeson (10).

Canton beat North Penn-Liberty, 54-47. Haley Litzelman had a double-double with 13 points and 20 rebounds while adding two assists. Kendall Graham added eight points. Canton was led by Cailyn VanNoy’s 21 points and Danah Wesneski’s 12 points.
