Lock Haven football announces its 2026 recruiting class
Fresh off its first winning season in 44 years, the Lock Haven football team and second-year head coach Joe Battaglia are excited to announce their 2026 signing day class, featuring 33 incoming athletes.
“I am thrilled to welcome these 33 new Bald Eagles to Haven Nation,” Battaglia said. “Coming off our best season in the last 44 years, the momentum and energy has never been higher, and these young men will help us elevate this program to where we want to get to. I’m extremely proud of this coaching staff for putting this signing class together as they worked tirelessly these last few months to ensure the sustained trajectory of this program. The future has never been brighter for Lock Haven Football.”
The class features 33 athletes from Delaware, Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Each of the new Bald Eagles have signed a National Letter of Intent, have been accepted and/or enrolled at Lock Haven.
The group features 27 incoming freshmen and six transfers. That class includes:
Quarterback Jake Howe (Wilkes-Barre Area); running backs Salah Rashid (Upper Darby), Christian Banks (Montoursville), Montgomery Fisher (Milton) and Preston Burnett (Gettysburg); wide receivers Artie Poindexter (Columbia), Aaron Baker (Newark Eastside), Gradyn Fisher (Bald Eagle Area), Christian Toombs (Conwell-Egan) and Nahmir Thomas (Loyalsock); tight end Gabe Urban (Northampton); offensive linemen John pettit (Archbishop Ryan), Ruhan Sriram (North Brunswick Township), Gabe Clabaugh (Susquehannock) and Tony Ferreira (Muhlenberg);
Defensive linemen Martin Wantong (Immaculata), Jeremiah Johnson (Loyalsock), Tristan Laing (Cardinal O’Hara), Izak Glover (Shamokin), Elijah Daniels (Monsingor Bonner-Archbishop Prendie) and Isaiah Stillwagon (Greensburg-Salem); linebackers Zakii Curry-Lewis (Harrisburg), Muaz Brooks (William Penn), Garrett Grants (Notre Dame), Chris Wellington (Catasauqua), Jacque Wilson (Appoquinimink), Koi Muse (Abraham Lincoln); and defensive backs AJ Cintron (Maple Shade), Benton Celius (Gettysburg), Jalen Patterson (Cardinal O’Hara), Ozzie Artis (Saint Joseph), Kollin Cunningham (Bald Eagle AreA) and Sin’cere Jackson (Central Dauphin East).
