Muncy’s Zalonis named Mid-Penn Defensive Player of the Year in girls hoops

Muncy’s Anna Zalonis has helped propel Muncy’s girls basketball team this year and earned Mid-Penn Defensive Player of the Year honors and was the only area girls basketball palyer to garner top Mid-Penn honors.
Northwest senior Ashlyn Hermanofski was named Mid-Penn MVP and Northwest’s Jaxson Yaple was named Coach of the Year.
Earning first-team honors was Muncy’s Ava Eyer, Northwest’s Ava Ruckle, South Williamsport’s Ella Moore, Benton’s Malaia Hart and Bucktail’s Kendall Wagner. Garnering second-team honors was Muncy’s Rosie Zalnois, Northwest’s Ali MInier, Millville’s Julia Hippenstiel, Benton’s Bre Hess and Bucktail’s Eva Sockman.
