Penn College women dominate Valley Forge

Penn College defeated Valley Forge, 90-20, in a United East women’s basketball game Wednesday afternoon inside Bardo Gym. The Wildcats improved to 9-2 in conference matchups, 17-6 overall. The Patriots dropped to 0-11 UEC, 1-18.

Every Wildcat scored in the victory including a game-high 22 points and 15 rebounds by St. John Neumann graduate Gigi Parlante. Loyalsock graduate Mia Patterson and Lexi Troup both finished with 16 points to join Parlante in double-digit scoring. Kasey Weibley added nine points and Kayla Herzer scored eight. RaeAnna Andreas, Breana Valentine and Lily Reid all scored four. Kenni Galbreath, Hailey Theuret and Eliza Newcomer each scored one bucket and Emily Woolson nailed a free throw in the contest.

The Wildcat scored 20-or-more points in all four quarters to take a commanding 48-8 lead at half and dropped 42 points in the second half while holding the Patriots to single digits in all four quarters.

Penn College compiled 30 steals and forced 39 UVF turnovers which led to 55 points.

Penn College completes its regular season home schedule on Saturday against Cairn at 3 p.m.
