LHU’s Azariah Moore claims All-American status

CORALVILLE, IOWA. – Azariah Moore claimed All-American status at the inaugural NCAA Women’s Wrestling Championships behind an impressive weekend performance.

Moore built off her three wins on Friday with a 7-3 decision victory over Simon Fraser’s Paige Maher Saturday morning (March 7). After trailing 3-1 2:31 seconds into the match, Moore responded with six consecutive points to advance to the next round.

Moore fell in her next two matches to Fort Hays State’s No. 3 Isabella Renfro and Gannon’s No. 7 Isabella Phillips but claimed sixth place in the 180 pound division.

Moore is the first Bald Eagle to earn NCAA All-American honors to go along with her NCWWC All-American honors last season.

This weekend Moore also broke the Bald Eagles’ record for single-season tech falls with 22. She became the Bald Eagle’s all-time career tech fall leader earlier this season with a total now up to 37.

Moore finishes her junior season with 68 career wins and currently sits in second place in Lock Haven history behind only Lily Sherer who earned 86 career wins.

Starting at $2.99/week.
