Penn College releases update on baseball program following investigation
After a confirmed investigation into concerns by Penn College, the college concluded its investigation on Tuesday afternoon.
According to a statement released by Penn College shortly before 1 p.m. on Tuesday, the Wildcats made a change regarding the coaching staff and student-athletes on the roster.
“Pennsylvania College of Technology has concluded its investigation into reported concerns involving the college’s baseball team. As a result, baseball coaching staff and student-athlete roster changes have been made,” the college released in a statement. “The college will soon begin the process of identifying new coaching staff.”
Penn College has not played a game since it’s trip to Myrtle Beach in mid-March. Since then, Penn College had postponed six consecutive games in the midst of its probe and investigation into concerns. Penn College is scheduled to play its first game since the Myrtle Beach trip on Saturday.
“The college remains committed to supporting its student-athletes and moving the baseball team forward,” the college said in a statement . “Additional information will be shared as appropriate when available.”
No coaches were listed on the Penn College athletic website for the baseball team.
