The Northern Tier League basketball all-star teams were released and the area was well represented on both the boys and girls teams.
Earning Large School first-team honors included North Penn-Mansfield's Andy Hermansen and Jason Harer and Wellsboro's Colin Fletcher. On the first-team Small School was North Penn-Liberty's Luke Kreger and Evan McTish; and Cowanesque Valley's Ashton Burdick and Levi Stahli. Canton's Monte Whitehead and Cowanesque Valley's Josh Teague were second-team selections alongside North Penn-Liberty's Connor Lewis and Williamson's Maddox Hartman.
Wellsboro's Luke Rothermel was a second-team Large School selection.
On the boys side, the NTL Player of the Year was Northeast Bradford's Eli Stanton, Troy's Trey Teribury was named NTL Offensive Player of the Year, Athens' James Friend was named NTL Defensive Player of the Year and Dayton Russell of NEB was named the NTL Sixth Man. Northeast Bradford's coaches earned Coaching Staff of the Year.
On the girls Large School team, North Penn-Mansfield's Kameron Lightner was the only first-team selection from the area. Her teammate Maddie McNamara was a second-team all-star selection.
On the Small School first team was Canton duo Cailyn VanNoy and Alexis McRoberts and North Penn-Liberty's Haley Litzelman. Canton's Stella Rockwell, North Penn-Liberty's Kendall Graham and Williamson duo Kenna Thomas and Oliiva Nolan were second-team all-star selections.
Troy's Giana Renzi was named NTL Player of the Year, Troy's Kyah Renzo was named NTL Offensive Player of the Year and Northeast Bradford's Leah Beebe was named NTL Defensive Player of the Year. The NTL Sixth Man was Towanda's Reese Sullivan. Troy's coaches earned NTL Coaching Staff of the Year honors.
