District 4 doubles draw set for Saturday morning

The District 4 singles tournament wrapped up on Wednesday with Jersey Shore’s Ryder Fink becoming the program’s first-ever repeat singles champion. Now the Bulldogs are hoping to carry that momentum over into the doubles tournament, which gets underway on Saturday morning.
The first three rounds will be played at Williamsport High School beginning at 9 a.m. The semifinals and finals are scheduled for Monday at 1 p.m. at the Central PA Tennis Center.
Lewisburg will look to make it three consecutive District 4 doubles titles. The Green Dragons’ Will Cecchini and Alexey Rosenberg won the doubles title in 2025 and Sarthak Vishwakarma and Cecchini won it in 2024.
A Lycoming County team has not won the doubles title since Caleb Vuocolo and Mark Odorizzi did so in 2013.
Danville’s David Sommer — who reached the singles semifinals — and Munjaal Mehta are the top seed in the field and receive a first-round bye. They will face either David Bjorkman and Ian Bower of Loyalscok or Bloomsburg’s Marc-Alexi Dobbins and Will Keller.
Selisngrove’s Joaquin Basu and Nathan Lauver face Lewisburg’s Luke Azeredo and Colby Jack. Muncy’s Michael Howard and Aiden Murphy will face Wellsboro’s Luke Rothermel and Mason Brill.
Jersey Shore’s Saul Hensler and Ezra Paulhamus face South Williamsprot’s David Miller and Levi Jackson. Montoursville’s Cole Snyder and Mason Fry face North Penn-Liberty’s Ray Nickerson and Silas Boiywo while Hughesville’s Kevin Bobak and Luke Ragan have a first-round matchup against Milton’s Tevin Reitz and Tobin Strous. Towanda’s Emma Ackley and Brody Hennessy face Central Columbia’s David Toscano and Nate Lang.
On the bottom half of the bracket, Lewisburg’s Canyon Swartzentruber and Henry Heintzelman are seeded No. 2. and Montoursville’s Teli Bobotas and Gio Catino are seeded third.
Bobotas and Catino will have a first-round matchup against Galeton’s Corbin Basile and David Martin. Milton’s Adam Kerstetter and Cole Blackmon will play against South Williamsprot’s carson Harris and Dylan Webb.
Jersey Shore’s duo of Luke Sarge and Abram Paulhamus have a first-round matchup against North Penn-Liberty’s Ayden Deitrick and Toby Nolt, and Muncy’s Clynt Oden and Alec Noviello have a matchup against Loyalsock’s Elijah Lin — this year’s District 4 singles runner-up — and Nathaniel DePrenda.
Selinsgrove’s Lomond Rodgers and McAlister Defazio play Danville’s Colin Sauers and Donovan Larson. central Columbia’s Tanner Fensch and Joey Pecora face Bloomsburg’s Colton Roberts and Pret Patel. Hughesville’s Luke Vermeire and Michael Swales play Towanda’s Bayley Poll and Kellen Colton. Wellsboro’s RJ Doughtie and James Doughtie face Swartzentruber and Heintzelman.
