Hall scores twice as Lyco men’s lacrosse loses to Goucher, 20-4
First-year Samuel Hall scored a pair of fourth-quarter goals to lead the Lycoming College men’s lacrosse team as it fell, 20-4, in a Landmark Conference matchup to Goucher College on Wednesday, April 8 at UPMC Field.
Goucher (5-8, 2-3 Landmark) scored four times in the first period and eight more times in the second before Lycoming (2-9, 0-5 Landmark) first-year Garis Tocco found the back of the net for the Warriors’ first score 49 seconds before halftime.
The other three Lycoming goals came in the fourth, with Hall scoring back-to-back goals just under four minutes apart in the first half of the period. Following the final Goucher goal, junior Brogan Wooley buried an unassisted goal with 17 seconds left to round out the scoring.
Hall scored twice and picked up two groundballs, while Wooley added a goal and assist. Tocco had a goal and two groundballs. Senior Cole Slezak tallied four groundballs and forced two turnovers. Junior keeper Evan Donnelly stopped 14 shots in goal.
Gianni Karam led Goucher with nine goals and four assists, while Jacob Morgan added six goals and five assists. Three Gopher goalkeepers combined for 12 saves.
The Warriors will be back in action on Saturday for a Landmark Conference matchup against Moravian University. Opening draw is scheduled for 1 p.m. At UPMC Field.
