South Williamsport saw a four-run lead with two innings to go slip away as Warrior Run scored seven runs in the bottom of the sixth and took a lead it dind’t let go en route to an 8-5 comeback victory against the Mounties at Bowman Field.
South Williamsport held a 3-1 lead after the first inning and led 5-1 heading to the bottom of the sixth.
Cohen Zechman led Warrior Run with a 2 for 3 effort with a double, triple and two runs scored. Landon Tilson went 2 for 4 with two RBIs and a run scored, James Keifer went 2 for 3 wtih an RBI and run scored and Griffen Harrington went 1 for 4 with a double, RBI and scored a run.
South Williamsport was led by Torin Haug’s 2 for 3 day at the plate as he also hit a double, the Mounties’ lone extra-base hit. Haug had a team-high two RBIs.Also collecting multiple hits was Kamdyn Bubb (2 for 4) and Chance Quimby (2 for 3, RBI). The Mounties received singles from Cole Gerber (1 for 4, RBI), Trace Wertz (1 for 4, RBI), Cade Lusk (1 for 3, run), Marc Molina (1 for 3, run), Levi Butler (1 for 4, run).
Loyalsock erupted for an 11-run first inning to pummel Sayre in just three innings, 17-2. The duo of Nolan Rall and Connor Phillips combined on the mund to allow just three singles.

Drake Dupont (3 for 3, double), Brecken Gusick (2 for 2, double), Jahvon LaRosa (2 for 3), Connor Cowden (2 for 2) and Carter Mileto (2 for 2) led the Lancers’ offense.
Wellsboro scored twice in the fifth and twice in the sixth to edge North Penn-Mansfield in an NTL rivalry game in a close contest, 8-7. Griffin Morral led Wellsboro with a 3 for 3 performance with a double and triple.
Gabe Cuneo and Max Mascho both had a double for the Green Hornets. Andy Hermanson belted two doubles as he led Mansfield with a 2 for 4 effort.
St. John Neumann suffered an 18-1 loss in five innings to Northest. Northwest scored at least three runs in four of the five innings and jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first and led 9-0 after two innings. Neumann was limited to just three singles.
Kane Meixel (1 for 2), Avery Taddeo (1 for 2) and Wade Smith (1 for 1) led Neumann’s offense.

Montgomery defeated CMVT, 8-6. Montgomery took advantage of five errors as the Red Raiders collected just two singles, one apiece from Cody Sechrist (1 for 3) and Briar Persing (1 for 4, RBI, two runs). Montgomery scored three in the fifth and two runs in both the fourth and sixth.
• Hughesville rallied from the brink in the final three innings, capping a fabulous comeback by scoring twice in the bottom of the 13th inning and defeating Montoursville in an 8-7 thriller. The Spartans trailed in the seventh, 11th, 12th and 13th innings.
Hughesville’s Addison Henninger had the walkoff hit to lift the Spartans.
They also were down two runs in the 11th but fought back to hand Montoursville (7-3, 5-1) its first HAC-III defeat. Hughesville (5-2, 3-2) also moved within a game of first place. Ashlynn Barlett collected four hits and drove in two runs, while Lyla Kinney had three hits and two runs and Addy Knight two hits with three runs.
Winning pitcher Maddie Smith and Laurel Bauman also had hits and RBIs. After Addison Henninger threw seven quality innings, Smith struck out 11 in six innings of relief to earn the win. Emily George and Kayleigh Sheleman homered for Montoursville and March Manotti had three hits. George also doubled and scored scored three times, while Avery Stahl had two hits and a triple. Trinity Belle added two hits and a double.

Lewisburg scored a run in the bottom of the seventh to beat Milton in walk-off fashion in an exciting rivalry matchup, 3-2. Emma Apanel (1 for 3), Siani Turner and Aaliyah Bleich all scored a run for Lewisburg, who won despite collecting just two hits, both singles. Brinley Haile went 1 for 2.
North Penn-Liberty’s Elyna Booth struck out 13 and threw all five innings in a 13-1 win against Wellsboro in an NTL showdown. Booth had a home run and finished the day 1 for 3 with four RBIs. Claire Dominick and Haley Litzelman both hit doubles as Dominick went 2 for 3 with an RBI and two runs scored.
Jersey Shore scored 17 runs in a 17-6 win against Selinsgrove. Sophia Wrench (2 for 3, one RBI, two runs), Mya Lehman (2 for 4, two RBIs, run) , Lexi Frey (3 for 4, double, three RBIs), Lynna Clark (3 for 5, two RBIs, two runs) and Dani Miller (2 for 4, four runs) led the Bulldogs.
CMVT was limited to just one hit as Montgomery cruised to a dominating 15-0 win in just three innings. Zoe Furman went 2 for 3 wtih two home runs and four RBIs, Jenna Houseknecht went 2 for 3, Madisyn Miller was 3 for 3 with two doubles, Addison Greger went 1 for 2 with a double, Brooke Dietrich went 1 for 2, Chloe Gordner went 1 for 1 with a double and Maddie Hamm finished 2 for 2 with two RBIs and two runs scored.
Sienna Wise went 3 for 4 with a double, two RBIs and two runs scored as Warrior Run cruised to a 12-0 shutout victory against Bloomsburg on the road. The Defenders gave up just one hit in the game.

• Montoursville’s boys tennis team moved to 9-4 with a 4-1 win against Selinsgrove. Teli Bobotas secured a 6-1, 6-0 win at No. 1 singles against Mac DeFazio. At No. 3 singles, Colby Ulmer beat Joaquin Basu, 6-0, 6-1.
Selinsgrove’s win came when Lamond Rodgers beat Gio Catino at No. 2 singles, 7-6 (7-3), 6-0.
Cole Snyder and Rain Snyder won at No. 1 doubles, 6-3, 6-2 and at No. 2 doubles, the Warriors’ Cullen Pauling and Mason Fry won, 6-0, 6-0.
Wellsboro’s Luke Rothermel, Mason Brill and RJ Doughtie all earned 6-0, 6-0 victories at Nos. 1-3 singles, respectively, to lift Wellsboro to a 4-1 boys tennis win against rival North Penn-Liberty.

Rothermel beat Ray Nickerson at No. 1 singles, Brill beat Silas Boiywo at No. 2 and at No. 3, Doughtie beat Andre Reed.
Liberty’s lone win came at No. 1 doubles where Ayden Deitrick and Toby Nolt defeated Liam Elkin and Kayden Pearson, 7-6 (9-7), 6-4.
Lewisburg moved to 11-2 with a 4-1 victory over Towanda. Canyon Swartzentruber beat Matrix McCarter at No. 2 singles, 6-0, 6-0 and at No. 3 singles, Luke Azeredo picked up a 6-1, 6-0 win vs. Kellen Colton. Towanda’s Bailey Poll beat Henry Heintzelman at No. 1 singles, 6-1, 6-4.
In doubles competition, Lewisburg’s Colby Jacob and Olin McIlwaine won at No. 1 doubles, 6-3, 6-1 and at No. 2 doubles, Tyson Nicholls and Clark Nicholls won, 6-2, 6-1.
• Sophomore Kayvan Shams, a South Williamsport graduate, posted a win at No. 2 singles to lead the Lycoming College men’s tennis team, which fell to Penn State Altoona, 6-1. Shams downed Ivan Bene, 6-0, 6-3, for his team-leading sixth singles win of the season.
The Warriors fell to 3-10 and Penn State Altoona improved to 11-5.
The Warriors are back in action on Saturday when they head to Elizabethtown College for a Landmark Conference match at 1 p.m.
