Lycoming golf picked to finish 10th in Landmark Pre-Championship Poll

The Lycoming College golf team was selected to finish 10th in the Landmark Conference Pre-Championship Coaches’ Poll, the conference office announced on Friday.

Drew was the unanimous favorite to repeat as conference champion with 81 points and nine first-place votes while Scranton (68), Goucher (65), Moravian (55) and Catholic (46) make up the top half of the poll. Susquehanna (45), Juniata (34), Elizabethtown (30), Wilkes (14) and Lycoming (12) round out the poll.

The two-day Landmark Conference Championship begins at Shawnee Inn & Golf Resort on Saturday, April 25, with the concluding round on Sunday, April 26, at the par-72, 6,714-yard A.W. Tillinghast-designed course. Lycoming tees off for the first round at 8:15 a.m., on Saturday.

Lycoming has enjoyed a remarkable season, setting a program scoring record when they posted a 304 during the second round of the DeSales Fall Classic on Oct. 4, 2025. First-year Tre Lesperance has led the team with a 78.29 scoring average in 17 rounds, the second-best average in program history.

The team has posted two first-place finishes, 12 top-five finishes and 17 top-10 finishes during the season.

Junior Connor Shanahan is second on the team with a 82.33 scoring average, just ahead of junior Will Eberz, a First Team All-Landmark Conference selection in 2025 after he shot an even par 72 on the second day of the tournament, at 82.33. First-years Hill Meserve , who has a low round of 75 this year and a 83.29 scoring average, and first-year Colby Seiler, who has an 84.25 scoring average, round out the team’s lineup this weekend.
