INDIANA – The Lock Haven lacrosse team built an early lead on the road, but Indiana (Pa.) used a 5-1 advantage in the second period to edge out the Bald Eagles, 13-10, in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Western Division battle on Wednesday.

With the result, Lock Haven is now 9-6 on the season and 5-4 in the PSAC West.

Entering Wednesday, the Bald Eagles had won five straight games dating back to April 4.

The Haven has already clinched a trip to the 2026 PSAC Tournament and are currently tied with IUP (8-8, 5-4 PSAC West) for the third seed.

Lock Haven built a 4-3 lead after the opening 15 minutes thanks to goals from Jordan Ellis, Lexi Bunk, Addi Reidle and Gabby Gunnip.

However, IUP scored four unanswered goals to open the second period to jump out in front 7-5. The Haven played even with the Crimson Hawks the rest of the way, but the run in the second period proved to be the difference.

Ellis and Gunnip led the offense with two goals each, while Makayla Kelly scored and dished out a pair of assists.

Brynlee Pinschenat and Peyton Masters also found the back of the net.

Mackenna Brown led the defense with four caused turnovers and three ground balls.

Gretchen King finished with a game-high 13 saves in 60 minutes in goal.

The Bald Eagles are set to host No. 7 Slippery Rock for the regular season finale on Saturday at noon at Charlotte Smith Field on Senior Day.
