MIDDLEBURG — Montoursville competed in a tri-meet at Midd-West with the Mustangs and Mifflinburg. Team scores for the boys and girls were not available.

Montoursville sophomore Brayden Burkett walked away with two individual wins on Tuesday. The Warrior won the long jump with a distance of 20 feet, 1 inch, tying with Lande Murray of Mifflinburg, and also won the triple jump with a leap of 37-6. Jordan Cohick of Montoursville took second in the triple jump (35-7) and Christian Banks was third in the long jump (19-1 1/2). Montoursville sophomore Issac Erlandson won the high jump by clearing 5-6.

Montoursville junior Bryce Winslow ran a time of 11.12 to beat out Landen Murray of Mifflinburg by just 0.12 seconds to claim a win in the 100 as teammate James Williams was third (11.57).

Montoursville’s Colton Conklin, a junior, won the 400 in 55.18 as Midd-West sophomore D’Angelo Drumheller was second in 56.00 and Montoursville’s Cooper Boyles took third in 57.53.

In the pole vault, Montoursville finished 1-2 as Ryan Williams, a freshman, won with a mark of 10-0 while Izayah Bronwsberger, a junior, cleared 9-6 for second.

Cy Haight of Montoursville finished second in the 1,600 in 4:52.08 while teammate Beadle took third in 4:52.95. Adam Shearer of Montoursville took second in the 200 with a time of 23.55 behind Murray of Mifflinburg’s 22.78. Boston Hazen, a sophomore, was third in 24.08. Montoursville’s Gavin Lakes, a sophomore, was second in the 3,200 in 14:02.98 behind only Midd-West’s Ben DeLong’s 13:01.98.

Cameron Cintron of Montoursville took second in the 300 hurdles with a time of 45.21, just 0.01 seconds behind Midd-West’s Aiden Parker in an extremely close race.

Grady Foster of Montoursville was second in the discus (111-6 1/4) and Gavin Brower was third (100-10). Wesley Foster of Montoursville finished third in the javelin by thorwing 135-0 1/4.

In the shot put, Montoursville’s Noah Rakestraw was just shy of first-place honors as he threw 47-2 1/2 for second, behind Mifflinburg’s Chace Aikey (48-9 3/4). Aiden Petrowski of Montoursville was third with a throw of 40-8 1/4.

In girls competition, Montoursville’s Elizabeth Wanner claimed a victory in the 800 with a time of 2:29.04. She won the event by just under two seconds against Midd-West junior Bella Knepp (2:31.57).

Montoursville junior Faith Berwanger won the 100 hurdles in 17.05, winning by nearly a second in the event. Teammate Adelyn Montgomery was third in 18.09. In the 300 hurdles, Abby Strassner of Montoursville finished second in 53.09.

The Warriors swept the top-3 spots in the pole vault competition. Allie Eberhart, a sophomore, won with a height of 10-0 while Keira Dreese and Libby Quick both reached 8-0 to tie for second place.

Montoursville freshman Madison Gardner ran 6:23.66 in the 1,600 for a second-place finish behind Aubrey Hoover of Midd-West, who won in 6:14.63.

Eberhart was a third-place finisher in the high jump with a height of 4-4.

Montoursville’s Brynn Connelly took third in the long jump by clearing 14-7 1/4 and in the triple jump, Montoursville’s Dahlia Campbell was in second (33-8 1/4) and Vivian Heivly tok third (29-7 1/4) as Mifflinburg’s Parice Shuck jumped 34-5 to win.
