Golf tip of the week: Add power to your swing
PHOTO PROVIDED Maintain the angle between the left arm and shaft right arm for the left-handed golfer.
One of the easiest ways to create more power in your swing is to maintain the angle between the left arm and the shaft until late in the dowsing, right hand for the lefty.
Watch a low handicap or professional golfer, and you will notice the angle between the lead arm and the golf shaft remains small until late in the swing. In most cases, the shaft is parallel to the ground before releasing the hands. Another thing to notice is the grip end points toward the intended target until just before releasing the club.
Don’t be impatient on the downswing, keep your hands cocked longer to prevent casting the club.
Don’t forget to enjoy this great game called golf.
