Montgomery and Bucktail’s softball teams advanced to the District 4 Class A championship game this season and had talented squads. So it’s not surprising that the two teams combined for 15 first- and second-team all-star selections on the Mid-Penn softball all-star team, which was released.

Montgomery senior Zoe Furman (outfielder), junior Addison Greger (catcher), junior Amelia Shrimp (flex) and senior Ava Hartman (pitcher) earned first-team accolades for the Red Raiders.

Earning second-team honors for Montgomery included senior Madisyn Miller (infielder), sophomore Jenna Houseknecht (infielder), freshman Ramona Kroll (infielder) and senior Chloe Gordner (designated player).

Bucktail senior Kendall Wagner (infielder), senior Lola English (infielder), senior Eva Sockman (catcher) and freshman Kelsie Wagner (utility) were first-team selections. Bucktail senior Makenna Stone (infielder), sophomore Rebekah Conway (outfielder) and sophomore Carrie Ditty (pitcher) garnered second-team honors.

Also named to the all-star team was Muncy sophomore Gracie Snyder (second-team flex), Muncy sophomore Avery Buss (second-team outfielder), Sullivan County senior Emilia Viveiros (second-team pitcher) and Sullivan County sophomore Bailey Smith (outfielder).

Northwest senior Ashlyn Hermanofski (infielder), Northwest junior Ava Ruckle (infielder), Northwest senior Lizzy Noss (outfielder), Northwest freshman Natalia Ninotti (outfielder), Northwest sophomore Olivia Nevel (designated player) and Northwest junior Jenna Robaczewski (pitcher) earned first-team honors.

Millville junior Lily Zenzel earned second-team catcher honors and Millville freshman Morgan Pease was named a second-team utility player.

Northwest’s Ava Ruckle was named Mid-Penn MVP and CMVT’s Josh Zanoline was named Mid-Penn Coach of the Year.
