NPL’s Litzelman, WR’s Ulrich earn honors
Haley Litzelman of North Penn-Liberty and Tyler Ulrich of Warrior Run were named to the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Association/Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency All-Academic athletic team, which was announced on Monday.
Each recipient will receive a $1,000 scholarship to support their post-secondary educations. The program reflects the organizations’ shared commitment to recognizing well-rounded student-athletes and supporting their academic futures.
Each district in the state has a boy and girl athlete recognized.
The list of boys is Pennridge’s Thomas Ginnetti (District 1), Valley View’s Nicholas Burak (District 2), Cocalico’s Colton Rutt (District 3), Ulrich (District 4), Conemaugh Township’s Brennan Lohr (District 5), Bellwood-Antis’ Cooper Lovrich (District 6), South Park’s Ryan Spitznagel (District 7), Obama Academy’s Jaden Colbert (District 8), Cranberry’s Dalton Wenner (District 9), Fort LeBoeuf’s Blake Glass (District 10), Southern Lehigh’s Sean Steckert (District 11) and Cardinal O’Hara’s Ryan Connor (District 12).
The list of girls is Garnet Valley’s Avery Lustgarten (District 1), Dunmore’s Amanda Dempsey (District 2), Susquenita’s Kaydon Brandt (District 3), Litzelman (District 4), Northern Bedford’s Alyssa Yeatts (District 5), Altoona’s Zaelinh Nguyen-Moore (District 6), Penn Trafford’s ANabella Aquino (District 7), Obama Academy’s Mia Quarles (District 8), Northern Potter’s Harley Thompson (District 9), North East’s Miah Skelly (District 10), Tamaqua Area’s Leah Black (District 11) and Thomas A. Edison’s Dailyanis Nunez Guzman (District 12).
The scholarship recipients will be recognized at the upcoming PIAA Board of Directors meeting on Wednesday, May 13, as well as during the PIAA baseball championships on Friday, June 12, prior to the 1:30 p.m. Class AAA title game.
Award winners are invited, but attendance at either is not required as they will be honored at each of their schools’ senior ceremonies.
