PSU signs experienced guard Allard

STATE COLLEGE — Penn State men’s basketball coach Mike Rhoades announced the signing of accomplished guard Thomas Allard ahead of the 2026-27 Penn State men’s basketball season. Allard, an experienced backcourt player with a winning pedigree, comes to Penn State as a graduate transfer for his final season of eligibility.

Allard played 2025-26 season at Alabama-Huntsville, serving as a key player in the Chargers’ run to the NCAA Division II Sweet 16. Averaged 13.7 points, 4.9 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game while starting 32 games for Alabama-Huntsville. Tallied 24 double-digit scoring games, including season-best 31-point effort on Nov. 15.

“Thomas has the ability to impact the game in multiple ways with his positional size, shooting ability and a high basketball IQ,” Rhoades said in a statement. “His maturity, production and winning experience will benefit us immediately. We’re excited to welcome Thomas to the Penn State basketball family.”

He spent three collegiate seasons at Lincoln Memorial University, helping the Railsplitters to three-straight NCAA Division II Tournament appearances.

Allard averaged 8.0 points and 3.8 rebounds per game in 22 appearances during 2024-25 season. He appeared in 19 games during 2023-24 season at Lincoln Memorial, averaging 3.7 points and 2.1 rebounds per game.
