Dristian Dimoff and Conner Gordner combined on a two-hitter on the mound as their east Lycoming junior baseball all-star team defeated Montoursville in five innings, 15-3. Montoursville batters only struck out three times, but hit everything right at East Lycoming’s defenders as East Lycoming also pulled off two double plays.

Montoursville pitchers had control problems the entire game as they walked 11 batters, gave up seven hits and committed four errors.

Ten of 11 East Lycoming players scored at least a run during the game. Adam Dreese was the lone highlight for Montoursivlle, as he scored twice with a hit and got on by an error.

East Lycoming was led by Jameson Smith (2 for 4, triple, two runs), Roman Meckbach (1 for 2, walk, two RBIs, two runs), Kellyn Wool (1 for 1, walk, sac fly, two RBIs, two runs), Conner Gordner (two walks, two runs), Dimoff (1 for 1, walk, sac fly, three RBIs, one run), Tygen Sherwood (1 for 2, walk, three RBIs, run), Brayden Swartz (! for 2, walk) and Parker Shrimp (two walks, two runs).

East Lycoming plays Thursday at South Williamsport at South, as they defeated Loyalsock. Montoursville will face Loyalsock at Montoursville on Thursday at 5:30 p.m. in the losers’ bracket. The winner of that game will then play Saturday against the loser of the South Williamsport/East Lycoming game.
