Hammaker picks up win at Port Royal Speedway
Port Royal saw Doug Hammaker drive from his sixth-place starting spot to the win, marking his first career win behind a 410 sprint car. He also joins the historic rank of drivers who have won a race at Port Royal Speedway, but a list of historic drivers like Greg Hodnett and Jason Johnson who were able to drive the Kline owned No. 22 to victory.
In limited late model competition, Lane Snook would go on to claim his third victory at Port Royal Speedway in 2026 marking the seventh of his career at his home track.
In 305 sprint car compeition, Chris Dolan would lead all 20 laps to pick up his first career winged sprint car win. Port Royal Speedway will be back in action on Saturday with the USAC Eastern Storm which will feature the USAC National Sprint Cars, USAC Silver Crown cars and 410 sprint cars.
On Friday, Josh Fields picked up the pure stock special at Hidden Valley Speedway while BJ Hudson of Clearfield and Isaac Exley became the newest winners on the season in the semi late and four cylinder features respectively.
Repeat winners included Craig Casher in the small block modifieds and Brandon Connor in the Penn-Ohio pro stocks.
This coming Friday night is the Shawn McGarvey super late model special, paying $3,000 to the winner of the 30-lap event. There will also be a super late model King of the Hill and the first spectator race of the year. All five regular divisions will also be on the card.
At Lincoln Speedway, Freddie Rahmer capitalized on the misfortune of early race leader Glenndon Forsythe and then held off a late challenge from Tyler Ross to score his second Lincoln Speedway victory of the 2026 season in Saturday night’s 30-lap feature event.
The win marked Rahmer’s second Lincoln Speedway triumph of the season after starting ninth and charging through the field.
The super late model Appalachian Mountain Speedweek finale at Lincoln Speedway featured several lead changes, intense battles throughout the top five before the race settled into a showdown in the final laps of the 35-lap main event. Greg Satterlee quickly began his march toward the front. Chad Homan and Satterlee engaged in a thrilling side-by-side battle for the lead, with Satterlee edging ahead by just .059 seconds at the start-finish line before extending the margin to .197 seconds on the following lap to officially take command and the win.
Lincoln Speedway is back in action on Saturday with the Kramer Klash featuring the 410 sprints and 358 sprints.
The USAC AMSOIL National Sprint Tour will invade Williams Grove Speedway on Friday at 7:30 pm. after a washout last weekend.
The United States Auto Club Eastern Storm Tour for the wingless 410 sprint cars will make its annual stop at the oval, offering a $6,000 payday to the winner of the 30-lap main event.The 410 sprints will join the USAC 410s on the racing card, competing in a 25-lap feature paying $5,500 to the winner.
