LL Classic ticket sweepstakes opens Thursday
DAVE KENNEDY/Sun-Gazette The MLB Little League Classic is played last year at Bowman Field.
Entry into the sweepstakes for a chance to win free tickets to the MLB Little League Classic on Sunday, Aug. 23 at Bowman Field between the Atlanta Braves and the Milwaukee Brewers will be once again available exclusively to residents of Lycoming County. The sweepstakes was announced by Major League Baseball and Little League International on Wednesday.
The sweepstakes gives Lycoming County residents the exclusive opportunity to experience the ninth annual event, which launched in 2017 and has seen 14 different Major League teams come to Williamsport.
Lycoming County residents can enter at MLB.com/LLClassic from Thursday, June 25 at 10:00 a.m. through 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 9. Winners will be notified soon after the sweepstakes ends with instructions on how to receive their tickets.
The sweepstakes is open to legal residents of Williamsport and its surrounding areas in Lycoming County who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry.
The special regular-season game will take place on Sunday, Aug. 23, with the game airing nationally that evening on ESPN and ESPN Radio at 7:10 p.m.
“It’s a special opportunity for Williamsport and Lycoming County to once again host the annual MLB Little League Classic this August. It’s a wonderful opportunity for the Little League players, coaches, and families to experience a Major League baseball game at Historic Bowman Field, celebrating its 100th anniversary this season,” said Jason Fink, Williamsport/Lycoming Chamber of Commerce president and CEO. “We’re appreciative of Major League Baseball and Little League International for incorporating many local groups in the game by providing free tickets for local Little Leagues to attend the Classic. It’s also great to see them continuing with the lottery for Lycoming County residents to win tickets for the game. What a great added benefit to being a resident that’s also home to Little League Baseball and Softball.”
One of the most intimate fan experiences in all of professional sports, the MLB Little League Classic is enjoyed annually by Little League World Series players, coaches and umpires and their families, as well as the lucky recipients of the ticket lottery, and Little Leaguers in the greater Lycoming County community.
The participating players, coaches and families of the 2026 Little League World Series, as well as Williamsport-area residents, will fill a significant portion of the capacity at Bowman Field.
