The Williamsport track and field program was proudly represented this past weekend at both the New Balance Nationals in Philadelphia and the Adidas Nationals in Greensboro, North Carolina.
Competing against some of the best athletes from across the country, the Millionaires once again showcased the talent, dedication and tradition that define Williamsport track and field.
Numerous Millionaires competed including Brysen Thornton (freshman mile), Aletha Fletcher (freshman high jump, freshman shot put), Maddie and Izzy Sanders (championship mile), Loisa Hofstrom and Mila Veldhuis (freshman 800), Isabelle Morrow (championship high jump), Tevin Williams (championship long jump and 400) and Brayden Ungard (championship triple jump)
Thomas earned a national runner-up finish in the freshman triple jump. The Millionaire placed second overall with a huge personal best of 45 feet, 9 3/4 inches.
“What an incredible way to cap off a memorable season,” Williamsport track and field coach Jeremy Steppe said. “We are proud of all our athletes for representing Williamsport with pride, determination, and excellence on the national stage.”

The girls 3,200 relay team also competed and delivered a historic performance with a time of 9:10.90. That time gave them a seventh-place finish in the championship division and set a new Millionaire record. That team comprised of The Sanders sisters, Hofstrom and Veldhuis.
