Lyco baseball earns ABCA Team Academic Excellence Award for third year in a row

The Lycoming College baseball team earned the American Baseball Coaches Association Team Academic Excellence Award for a third straight year, the organization announced on Wednesday.

Nearly 500 collegiate programs from across the country earned the Team Academic Excellence Award, presented by Sports Attack. To be honored, teams had a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00 on a 4.0 scale for the 2025-26 academic year.

The Warriors had 12 honorees on the Landmark Conference Academic Honor Roll and five – seniors Nick Hoheb, Joel Inman and Brody Lindsey, junior Alex Halbert and sophomore Lex Nelsen – each earned a spot on the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team.

Landmark Conference members Catholic, Drew, Juniata, Moravian and Scranton also earned the award.

The Warriors finished the 2026 season 18-21 and 11-13 in the Landmark under fourth-year coach Rick Oliveri, while placing a school record seven players on the All-Landmark Conference team.
