MANSFIELD - The Mansfield Mountaineer field hockey program has announced their 2026 schedule, featuring nine Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) games.
"As we look ahead to the 2026 season, our team is excited for the opportunities and challenges this schedule presents. This group has put in the work, and we’re looking forward to seeing that preparation translate onto the field." Head coach Brittany Hansrote said. "Our focus is on continuing to improve every day, competing with consistency, and staying committed to our standards throughout the season. We know success is earned one game at a time, and we’re excited to watch this team grow throughout the season."
The Mounties will open the season on the road at Kutztown where they play Saint Michael’s College, and Southern Connecticut State University in their annual opening tournament.
Mansfield's home opener will be Friday, Sept. 11 as they host Franklin Pierce. They welcome West Chester that Sunday, Sept. 13. Mounties host Kutztown on Sept. 19.
To finish out nonconference play to start the year, the Mountaineers go on a roadtrip to South Carolina where they face Lander (Sept. 26) and Newberry (Sept. 27) before facing Roberts Wesleyan at Karl Van Norman Field in a night game on Sept. 30.
The conference slate began with a road match at West Chester (Oct. 2) before two home contests against East Stroudsburg (Oct. 7) and Frostburg State (Oct. 10).
After two road conference battles at Kutztown (Oct. 17) and at Indiana (PA) (Oct. 20), the Mounties have three final home contests. Mansfield welcomes Millersville on Oct. 24.
Mansfield hosts Bloomsburg on Oct. 28 at 6 p.m., as part of Military Appreciation Week. Halloween afternoon will double as Senior Day for the Mounties as they welcome defending national champions Shippensburg.
Mansfield closes out the regular season at Slippery Rock on Nov. 7.
