South Williamsport traveled to North Penn-Mansfield in Week 1 and completely dominated the Panthers en route to a 48-0 shutout victory.
Cade Lusk proved to be tough to slow down as he carried the ball 114 times for 106 yards and three touchdowns -- two in the second quarter -- while Eli White was just as talented, rushing nine times for 115 yards and two touchdowns, both in the first half.
South Williamsport accumulated 397 yards of total offense -- 289 of which came on the ground -- while its defense stifled North Penn-Mansfield, holding the Panthers to negative 54 yards of total offense.
Cole Gerber went 8 for 15 passing for the Mounties for 100 yards and a touchdown while Garrett Lorson threw one pass for an eight-yard touchdown. Lorson had two catches for 31 yards and a score, Lusk had two for 26, Levi Butler had two for 19, Neeko Bowen caught one for 14, Samir Moy caught one for 10 and Caleb Johnson reeled in one pass for an eight-yard score.
• Loyalsock secured a 47-14 win against Central Columbia thanks to a 33-point first-half performance. Ivan Baker had two first-half rushing touchdowns and Dyson Dupont added two as well. Baker ran for 170 yards on just 10 carries with two touchdowns, Cayden Sones had 15 for 108 and a score and Dyson Dupont had seven rushes for 61 yards and two touchdowns.
Dupont also had success in the air as he went 7 for 9 for 114 yards and had a passing touchdown to Carter Brown for 35 yards in the second quarter.
The Lancers had 487 yards of total offense, 361 of which was thanks to its rushing attack. Central Columbia had 190 rushing yards on 46 carries and was led by Blake Edgar's 15 for 99 effort while Dominic Keller ran for 82 yards on 18 carries with two scores.
• Montoursville upset Troy, 26-19, holding off Troy late. Montoursville scored 20 points in the second quarter to take a 20-16 lead into the break. Elijah Eck broke a 73-yard touchdown run with 11:42 to play until halftime which tied the game at 7-all before Troy went ahead, 9-7 on a safety with 9:05. Eck would then have a two-yard run with 53 seconds before halftime to put the Warriors ahead, 14-9.
Troy responded on the ensuing kickoff by taking it to the house for 81 yards to reclaim a lead, 16-14. Montoursville then scored again as time expired when Eck punched it in from 13 yards out for the 20-16 halftime lead.
Kaden Klineman had a touchdown from a yard out in the third quarter with 8:37 left to go ahead, 26-16 after the kick was blocked.
Eck ran for 129 yards on 12 carries while throwing for 159 yards. Troy was limited to 173 yards of total offense.
• Danville defeated Lewisburg, 42-22, thanks to scoring 28 first-half points. The Ironmen had 429 yards of total offense and ran the ball 58 times for 325 yards. Ben Nye had 99 rushing yards and two scores while Kayvion Seabrook ran it five times for 78 and a score. Jack Rarig had 13 carries for 75 and two touchdowns.
• Bloomsburg beat Milton, 29-13. Bloomsburg had 365 yards of total offense compared to Milton's 142. Shane Frey threw for 158 for the Panthers with two touchdowns while Kamryn Wilson led Milton, going 5 for 14 for 74 and a touchdown. Milton tied the game 7-7 in the third quarter, but back-to-back touchdowns in a four-minute span by Bloomsburg put the Panthers ahead for good.
