In high school golf competition, Williamsport fell to Jersey Shore, 160-177. The Millionaires saw Jaxson March shoot a 39, Benner Hudock shoot a 46, Waylon Edler shoot a 45 and Leo Kinley shoot a 47.Jersey Shore was led by Kylie Schall's 36, Mason Heydrich's 38, Sadie Schall's 42 and Jackson Keefer's 44. Williamsport's 177 was a team season-best mark and March's 39 was a personal season best which included one birdie.
Wellsboro secured a 169-196 win against Canton in an NTL contest. Wellsboro was led by Sam Jackson's 41, Syler Pietrzyk's 43, Chase Schultz' 43 and Case Butler's 42.
Canton's Levi Vermilya had 47 while Gavin Sharp shot a 49 in the nine-hole contest. Teyton Thompson and Tommy Preston both shot 50s.
Lewisburg defeated Central Columbia, 174-189. Bryce Bussom led all golfers in the nine-hole contest by shooting a 38 and LJ Tucker shot a 40. Stewart Kraus had a 47 and James Byrum shot a 49. Central Columbia was led by Karl Unger's 43 and Liam Berger's 46.
• Austin Veach scored the equalizer late in the second half to lead the Lock Haven men's soccer team to a 1-1 draw with Frostburg State in the Bald Eagles' home opener at Hubert Jack Stadium.
After a one-hour lightning delay, Frostburg State struck first, taking a 1-0 lead in the 43rd minute.
The Bobcats' defense held firm for much of the second half, but Lock Haven broke through in the 75th minute. Owen Lichtenwalner launched a throw-in from approximately 45 yards out into the heart of the box, where Veach battled through a pair of Frostburg State defenders before beating the goalkeeper to level the match at 1-1.
• The Lock Haven women's soccer team (0-1) opened its 2026 season and fell to Millersville (1-0) on the road by a 4-0 decision. The contest was shorted with just over 11 minutes to go due to lightning and was deemed complete.
Millersville jumped out to a 3-0 advantage after 45 minutes of action, before scoring the final goal of the match in the second period. The Marauders led the contest with 10 shots on goal.
Devon Mason racked up six saves in her Bald Eagle debut in net. The Haven totaled three total shots, led by one on goal by Maci Shaffer.
Mansfield opened the 2026 season with a victory over the Salem Tigers, 2-1. Freshmen Isabella Andrews and Addison Emenheiser each had a goal in their collegiate debuts. Emenheiser having a game high seven shot, with five on goal. Teagan Herbers had three shots. Aaliyah Stocks, Sybil Thompson, and Brynn Knepp each had a pair of shots. Angel Gulè had two saves in goal.
Mansfield struck first as Andrews broke away from the defense and scored just shy of nine minutes in, giving Mansfield a 1-0 lead they kept into halftime.
• The Lock Haven volleyball team kicked off its 2026 season by competing on day one of the D'Youville Tournament and took down the host D'Youville 3-1 in convincing fashion. Lock Haven (1-0) claimed the match by set scores of 25-20, 17-25, 25-22 and 25-19.
Avery Smith led Lock Haven's attack with a match-high 10 kills and hit .333 on 24 attempts. Maddy Fox added seven kills, one solo block and four block assists, while Gracelynn Wolzen also finished with seven kills.
• Fresh off receiving Patriot League All-Preseason Goalkeeper of the Year, Sarah Althouse added another preseason honor with her selection to the National Field Hockey Coaches Association 2026 Division I Watchlist. She was one of 212 student-athletes to receive the designation. The Watchlist is intended to highlight returning and emerging standouts entering the year.
Althouse has spent the past three seasons between the pipes and has established herself as one of the Patriot League's top goalkeepers.
