Mounties post third best GPA in DII, as 16 earn honors

MANSFIELD - The Mansfield Mountaineers softball team had 16 players named as 2025-26 EASTON/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athletes. Mansfield had a team GPA of 3.79 to be the third highest in Division II.

"I am extremely proud of our team's commitment to academic excellence." Head Coach Edith Gallagher said. "It's rewarding to see their hard work and dedication recognized with a number three national ranking."

Kylie Bornman Bre Lock, Emma Maurer, Britni Motter, Liliana Moyer, Shannon Perlungher, Paige Reichard, Aubrey Reinert, Makenzi Reinhard, Rachel Sherman, Sarah Sherman, Sarah Shupp, Madison Stahli, Reilly Storer, Kaelyn Watson, and Emma Wonsick were given EASTON/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete honors.

"It is a truly remarkable job by Mansfield's softball student athletes." Said Director of Athletics Andrew Petko. "Their hard work and dedication in the classroom is deservedly recognized and rewarded."

The rankings and honors recognize the academic prowess of softball teams across the Association's membership categories. NCAA Division II had 1,869 honorees.

Team GPAs and scholar-athletes are submitted by member head coaches.
