TURBOTVILLE -- Xavier Carter had quite a performance on Friday night in Week 5 action.

Lewisburg's quarterback threw for 248 yards and three touchdowns and ran for another score to lead the Green Dragons past Warrior Run 43-14 for their second win.

Carter threw first-half touchdowns to Drake Osunde and Todd Dersham to draw even with the Defenders 14-14 at half.

On the first series of the third, Carter capped a seven-play drive with a 9-yard TD pass to Jaylen Walker, then ran in a two-point conversion to give his team the lead for good.

Dershem recovered a Warrior Run fumble in Defenders' territory on the next drive and seven players later, Ethan Coleman ran in a 12-yard touchdown with 11:52 to play.

Lewisburg's next drave also started on Warrior Run's half of the field, this time at the 41. Carter capped off another short-field drive with a 7-yard TD run to make the score 36-14.

Carter finished the game 13-of-22 passing for 248 yards and the three scores. He also carried the ball six times for 58 yards and a touchdown.

Coleman racked up 11 carries for 160 yards on the ground, plus Owen Fellon ran for 46 yards on 12 carries for Lewisburg.

Warrior Run was without its starting quarterback (Logan Stevenson), starting running back (Denyn Beachel), and a two-way starting lineman (Garrett Williams). The Defenders played well early, but couldn't keep with the Green Dragons.
