COLLEGE STATION, Texas - Off to its best start in nearly a decade, the Lock Haven women's soccer team has been ranked No. 9 in this week's IWSOC Division II Coaches Poll, the organization announced Tuesday.

The regional ranking is the first for Lock Haven women's soccer since the historic 2018 season.

Lock Haven has won four consecutive matches dating back to Sept. 2, earning victories over Charleston (W.Va.), California (Pa.), Clarion and Edinboro. The Bald Eagles have posted a shutout in each of the four wins and outscored their opponents, 5-0, during the streak.

The Bald Eagles sit in second place in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) West standings with a 4-2 overall record and a 3-1 mark in conference action.

Defense has fueled Lock Haven's early-season success. Behind a strong backline, freshman goalkeeper Devon Mason has recorded four straight clean sheets. Mason was named the PSAC West Defensive Athlete of the Week on Sept. 8.
