Wellsboro’s Jadyn Dunlap became the school’s all-time saves leader thanks to recording eight in a 4-0 win against Northeast Bradford. The eight saves moved her past Kailee Clymer’s record of 536 saves.
Haylie Smitih had two goals and an assist for the Green Hornets while Lauren Gehman and Luna Moyer both scored.
Williamsport suffered a tough 6-1 loss to Selinsgrove at home. Kennedie Spriggle had Williamsport’s lone goal while Breah Phillips assisted it. Valerie Beiter made seven saves for the Millionaires.
Two penalty kicks helped Hughesville earn a tough 3-2 win on the road against Lewisburg. Katelyn Temple scored twice for the Spartans, one of which was a penalty kick. Sierra Dewire also scored on a PK for the Spartans. Both of Lewisburg’s goals came from Payton Spigelmyer in the second half.
Kalia Hack had 11 saves for Hughesville and Nora Hockenbrock had 16 for the Green Dragons.
Warrior Run played a hard-fought game and lost to Central Columbia, 5-1. Scarlett Dunkleberger scored an unassisted goal off a direct kick in to Nat Hall, who was able to distract the defense enough for the ball to bounce into the net.
Quinlan Blake scored twice for Central Columbia and in the process recorded her 100th career goal. She joins teammate Joey Devlin as a 100-goal scorer for the Blue Jays.
Hailey Ganoe had 11 saves but Muncy suffered a 3-0 loss to Mid-Penn foe Millville. The Indians were out-shot by the Quakers, 14-6, and fell to 3-6-2.
• Aiden Sperry and Cole Barto scored for Sullivan County, putting in a goal in each half, as the Griffins beat Muncy, 2-0. Madden Fries assisted Barto’s goal in the second half.
Jersey Shore beat North Penn-Liberty, 4-0. Dylan Hensler recorded a hat trick while Dekin McDermit had a goal and assist. Ezra Paulhamus had an assist and Ben Gill assisted two goals.
The Bulldogs out-shot the Mounties, 20-6.
• Wellsboro won the NTL girls tennis title by sweeping North Penn-Liberty in a doubleheader. The Green Hornets won the first match 5-0 and the second, 4-1.
In the first matchup, Amanda Goncalves of Wellsboro beat Marissa Bradford, 6-0, 6-0 and then beat Bradford again, 6-0, 6-1.
Wellsboro’s Piper Anderegg beat Khloe Heichel in the first matchup, 6-0, 6-0. In the second matchup, Angie Cory won at No. 2 singles over Khloe Heichel, 6-2, 6-1.
Williamsport defeated Selinsgrove, 3-2. Lily Judge won Williamsport’s only singles matchup, beating Anna Yang at No. 3 singles in three sets, 5-7, 6-4, 6-4. The win at No. 3 singles proved to be the deciding match.
The three-set contest lasted more than two hours.
In doubles action, Gianna Vitko and Madelyn Lundy of Williamsport beat Talia Mowrey and Ashlyn Lehman, 6-0, 7-5 at No. 1 doubles and at No. 2 doubles, Maryam Zeshan and Kylie Bungo beat Emily Longacre and Arlie Troup, 6-2, 6-4.
Jersey Shore earned a 3-2 win against Montgomery thanks to winning two singles matchups. The Bulldogs’ Molly Dalton won at No. 1 singles over Arianna Snyder, 6-3, 7-6 (7-4) and at No. 2 singles, Shore’s Emily Shemory beat Emily Miller, 6-1, 6-1.
Montgomery’s Avelyn Moore beat Rylee Allison at No. 3 singles, 6-0, 6-4.
• Montoursville defeated Midd-West in girls volleyball, 3-0 (25-15, 25-22, 25-19). Laney Yonkin had seven kills for the Warriors while Rylee Reeder and Dahlia Campbell both had six. Noelle Rzeszotarski had 10 digs for the Warriors while Emma Ammerman had a team-high 18. Rylee Reeder, Laney Yonkin and March Manotti all had five digs.
Wellsboro beat Cowanesque Valley, 3-0. Kendall Sweet had a team-high eight kills for the Green Hornets, Peyton Keane had six and Ady Frantz had four. Maddy Cruttenden had 13 points and Jill Mickey had 12. Cruttenden also had seven digs.
Ellie Largey had a team-high 13 assists and Jill Mickey recorded nine.
Lewisburg blanked East Juniata, 3-0 (25-7, 25-13, 25-22). Claire Chandler had an impressive 24 assists with four aces, three digs and two kills. Penelope Vonieda had seven kills, Leila Bronner had six kills and five aces and Maya Bronner had four kills, two blocks and an ace.
North Penn-Liberty beat Canton, 3-2. Elaina Shaw had an impressive 32 digs for Liberty while Lilly McNamara had 27, Madison Smith and Gabby Bubeck had 24 each and Maddie McNamara had 23.
• The Lycoming College men’s tennis team picked up their first win of 2026-27 over King’s College, 5-2, on Thursday, Oct. 1, in a non-conference match. The Warriors swept all three doubles matches and added singles wins at No. 2, No. 3, No. 4, and No. 6.
The Warriors, who now hold a record of 1-5, earned the doubles point with wins on all three courts. Junior Kayvan Shams, a South Williamsport graduate, and junior Logan Hammond, a Loyalsock graduate, won 6-2 at No. 1, freshman Teli Bobotas, a Montoursville graduate, and senior Thomas Andersen added a 6-3 victory at No. 2, and senior Keegan Gill and sophomore Mason Morrow, a Montoursville graduate, won 6-3 at No. 3.
• The Lycoming College women’s tennis team tripped up King’s College with a 6-1 victory in a non-conference match at Kirby Park. The Warriors won at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles and added singles victories at Nos. 1 through 5.
The Warriors, who improved to 4-4, saw standout performances with junior Sadie Stahl, a South Williamsport graduate, posting a 6-3, 6-0 win at No. 1 singles and teaming with freshman Emma Dubnansky for a 6-3 victory at No. 1 doubles. Dubnansky added a 6-1, 6-4 result at No. 2 singles. Junior Yeanneth Rosado recorded a 6-2, 6-2 win at No. 3 singles and partnered with first-year Annalyse Marucci for a 6-2 decision at No. 2 doubles. Marucci also finished with a 6-2, 6-4 victory at No. 4 singles. First-year Anna Booze also notched a 6-2, 6-0 win over Allison Van Pelt at No. 5 singles.
