Jersey Shore’s Carter Rhinehart reaches impressive milestone

By Chris Masse 1 min read

Following a fantastic 10-catch, 151-yard performance last Friday against Central Mountain, Jersey Shore junior Carter Rhinehart became just the fourth Bulldog player in the 2000s to reach 1,000 yards receiver.

Even more impressive, Rhinehart reached that milestone in just 7 ½ games, missing 2 ½ at midseason with an injury. Rhinehart is the only Sun-Gazette receiver in the 2000s to reach 1,000 yards in fewer than nine games.

Rhinehart also was District 4’s only receiver during the regular season, which concluded last weekend, to reach 1,000 yards this year. His performance in that 53-27 win last Friday marked the sixth time he has eclipsed 100 yards this year. Rhinehart joins Jersey Shore alumni Stanton Westlin (2019), Cayden Hess (2021) and Evan Snyder (2024) as single-season 1,000-yard receivers.

Check back with the Sun-Gazette tomorrow night to find out if Rhinehart won the Sun-Gazette area regular season reception crown and to find out who won area passer rating and rushing titles as well.

Starting at /week.
