An injury cost him 2 ½ games, but even that could not prevent Jersey Shore’s Carter Rhinehart from racing to the Sun-Gazette area catches and yards titles.
Rhinehart caught an area-best 58 passes in 7 ½ games for a district-high 1,001 yards and scored 10 touchdowns. The junior receiver caught 7.3 passes per game and went over 100 yards six times in seven completed games. He was District 4’s only 1,000-yard receiver during the regular season and his 10 touchdowns are tied for third among area players.
Muncy’s Nate Rogers finished second in catches at 50 and was followed by Williamsport’s Trey Damschroder (48), Lewisburg’s Jaylen Walker (42), South Williamsport’s Levi Butler (37), Milton’s Ja’Cori Brown (36), Lewisburg’s Drake Osunde (34), Jersey Shore’s Connor Winters (33), Warrior Run’s Liam Moore (32) and Montoursville’s Brayden Burkett (32).
Walker, Lewisburg’s all-time leading receiver, was second in yards at 824 with Damschroder, Rogers and Osunde close behind at 816, 799 and 795, respectively. Walker also caught an area-best 14 touchdowns and Damschroder 11.
