GREENSBURG -- Ezequiel Johnson and Tucker Teats each ran for more than 100 yards and Carson Nagle threw for three scores as Lock Haven (5-5, 4-3 PSAC) came from behind to upend Seton Hill by a 28-23 score on Saturday afternoon in PSAC football action.
Johnson carried 15 times for 118 yards, the most by a Lock Haven player in a game in two seasons. Teats added 109 yards on 15 carries. The win for the Bald Eagles ended a three-game skid.
Seton Hill (4-6, 3-4 PSAC) took the early lead. Boden St Marie hit Jayden Llanos for a 44-yard touchdown on the Griffins' second possession. Lock Haven answered with a methodical 16-play, 75-yard drive that took 8:20 off the clock and ended with a 3-yard Teats run to knot the game up at a 7-7- tally.
Ahmad Ward's 1-yard run with 1:48 left in the second quarter put Seton Hill up 14-7 at the half.
The Bald Eagles took over after that. Nagle found Teats on a 19-yard touchdown pass on the third play of the second half to cap off a five-play, 75-yard drive to tie the game at 14 each.
Lock Haven went ahead 21-14 on Nagle's 9-yard touchdown strike to Jake Roberts with 7:17 left in the third. Nagle finished 13 of 27 for 130 yards and three touchdowns.
Seton Hill closed the gap to 21-17 on a 36-yard field goal from Rayyan Bataineh early in the fourth quarter but that was as close as the host Griffins would get.
Jay Von Tucker-Scott returned the ensuing kickoff 47 yards, and Nagle hit Wayne Love for a 16-yard score with 8:39 left to put the Bald Eagles ahead, 28-17.
The Griffins didn't go away. St Marie threw a nine-yard strike to Kai Holmes with 4:41 remaining, but Llanos' pass on the 2-point try failed as the Bald Eagles led 28-23 in the waning minutes of the game.
Lock Haven moved to the Seton Hill 37 on its next possession, but the Griffins took over on downs with 2:03 left. Troy Miller then intercepted St Marie at the Lock Haven 25 with 1:18 to play to seal the win.
Rocco Daugherty led the defense with nine tackles while Martin Wantong chipped in two sacks on the afternoon.
Lock Haven is back in action on Saturday when it hosts Lackawanna in the season finale. Kickoff with the Falcons is set for high noon at Hubert Jack Stadium.
