TIM WEIGHT/Special to the Sun-Gazette Lock Haven heads to Seton Hill for Saturday's game.

Lock Haven had a disappointing performance on Halloween night against California (Pa.) at home, suffering a 41-7 loss in PSAC competition. It's a third straight loss for the Bald Eagles, who fall to 4-5 overall with just two weeks remaining in the regular season.

Lock Haven would need to win out to ensure another winning season this year and move above .500.

That task begins in Greensburg today as Lock Haven travels to Seton Hill for a 1 p.m. kickoff.

In their loss last week against California (Pa.), the Bald Eagles' offense struggled to get into rhythm. Lock Haven had 113 rushing yards as a team, but just 158 passing yards while California (Pa.) accumulated 429 yards of total offense.

Without starter Robert Footman Jr. in the lineup, Bald Eagle Area graduate Carson Nagle got the majority of snaps and went 13 for 24 for 100 yards and an interception. He was also sacked twice. Cole Transue saw time as well and was 7 for 11 for just 58 yards.

On the ground, Ezequiel Johnson had a solid performance as he carried it eight times for 107 yards and had Lock Haven's only touchdown. He also averaged an impressive 13.4 yards per carry.

Defensively, the Bald Eagles struggled to contain the Vulcans. Sam Stoner went 24 for 38 for 234 yards and four touchdowns while on the ground, Jay Pearson ran for 85 yards and a score and Bobbie Boyd Jr. ran for 57 as California (Pa.) had 195 rushing yards as a team.

Devon Theophile and LucRichard Rameau both had a sack for Lock Haven, Rameau had two tackles for loss, Jaeion Perry and Theophile had a tackle for loss and both Troy Miller and Perry had three pass breakups each.

Seton Hill had a two-game winning streak snapped last week with a narrow 31-21 loss at Edinboro. Seton Hill earned wins over Gannon (21-17) and Clarion (27-24) before the loss and had a 59-14 loss to No. 8-ranked Slippery Rock on Oct. 10.

Seton Hill earned a win this year over California, 29-0.

The Griffins are averaging 20.3 points per game this year offensively and have held their opponents to 25.7 points per game.

On the ground, the Griffins have had success as Da'Shaun Williams has 466 yards, Ahmad Ward has 346 yards and Timothy Gaynor has 209 yards. That trio gives Seton Hill plenty of options carrying the ball.

Boden St. Marie is having success passing for the Griffins. He enters Saturday 133 for 244 passing with 1,706 yards and 11 touchdowns, although he has thrown nine interceptions. He also has done a solid job this year spreading the offense around as seven different players have 10 or more receptions.

Jayden Llano has 472 receiving yards to lead Seton Hill and four touchdowns, Ryan Keith has 338 yards and two touchdowns, Reginald Hunter has 320 yards and a touchdown and Zach Schrockman has 200 yards with a score.

Lock Haven will have to do well limiting the passing and running games if it wants to move to 5-5 this week and snap a losing skid.

Brayden Darrell leads Lock Haven's defense with 6 1/2 sacks while Patrick Henry has 4 and Lucas Simone has 3 1/2. The Bald Eagles' defense has done well picking off quarterbacks, too. Demetri Whitehead and Darius Patterson both have three interceptions and De'Mario Manning and Etienne Somuah have two picks and Hunter Jantzi has one.
