LOCK HAVEN -- On the heels of a 4-0 weekend at the season-opening Princeton Open, Lock Haven senior Azariah Moore picked up Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Women’s Wrestling Co-Athlete of the Week honors.

The honor is the first of Moore’s career and the first for the PSAC after the sport gained conference championship sponsorship in the offseason.

Moore won the 180-pound title by going unscathed on the day. The Montross, Va. native topped Olivia Georges of Blair Academy 9-0 in the final after a 13-2 win over Alexus Paden of Eastern in the semifinals. Moore opened with a 10-0 win over Audrey Pounds of Columbia, then beat Kasciddy Garren of Presbyterian by the same score in the quarterfinals to win the 180-pound weight class.

The senior standout is back in action for the Bald Eagles after becoming the program’s first NCAA All-American a season ago.

Moore and the Bald Eagles are back in action in two weeks when they travel to Michigan for the Adrian Open.
